University to Offer Series of 10 Lectures

A lecture series at Cal Lutheran University will begin Sept. 13 with a discussion called “Character and Gender Relations: He Said, She Said.” Titled “Commitment to Character,” the series will include 10 talks during the next four months.

Two educators who deal with awareness and prevention of sexual assaults will speak at the school’s Samuelson Chapel at 7 p.m., leading a group discussion and sharing their own personal insights into communication between the sexes.

On Sept. 14, a nationally renowned ethicist will discuss character building. Michael Josephson is the founder and president of the Josephson Institute on Ethics, a group that works to teach people how to make principled decisions.

He has been featured on a number of television shows, including “Primetime Live” and “Politically Incorrect.” Josephson also has a daily radio commentary on KNX-AM (1070).

He will speak at 10 a.m. in the Samuelson Chapel. The lectures are free. For more information, call 493-3151.
