It’s nice to see the boys reap the credit they deserve for kick-starting this whole swing music-hipster revival, even if the pseudo-jazz, Ricky Ricardo-isms and doo-wop version of “Stormy Weather” are all a bit too campy to transcend mere faddism. And yet, to paraphrase what the early ska revivalists said about “art,” this music was probably meant for dancing, not reviewing.
