Gunman Sought in Fatal Argument Over Money
Law enforcement officials are searching for the man who shot a 27-year-old Carson resident in an argument over money late Monday, Sheriff’s Department officials said.
Jonathan Catalasan was shot and killed about 10 p.m. at a home in the 22100 block of South Avalon Boulevard, said Deputy Michael Irving.
“The two men were in the garage when they began arguing over money,” Irving said. “The suspect produced a handgun and shot the victim several times in the upper body.”
The killer, who has not been identified by the Sheriff’s Department, fled after the shooting and remains at large, he said.
Neither the victim nor the gunman lived in the house, Irving said.
