LANCASTER — Sheriff’s deputies suspect a body found by two ranch workers Tuesday inside an overturned storage shed was that of a slaying victim.
The workers found the body wrapped in black plastic on a dirt road near 100 Street East and Avenue F-8 about 8:30 a.m.
The condition of the body led Los Angeles sheriff’s homicide detectives to believe the victim was killed and then dumped at the site several days ago.
The steel storage cabinet was lying on its side and one of the two doors was open, deputies said.
The gender and identity of the victim were not immediately known.
