Aerobatics, Displays Open on Airport Day

The Fullerton Municipal Airport will be buzzing with activity when Airport Day ’98 takes off Saturday.
Festivities include displays of vintage and experimental aircraft, aerobatics by quarter-scale model aircraft from the California Air Show Team and an appearance by Commander Chuck Street, air traffic reporter for radio station KIIS 102.7.
The Fullerton 99s, a women’s aviation group, will offer plane rides for $15 for adults and $10 for children.
The free event will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the airport, 4011 W. Commonwealth Ave., west of Magnolia Avenue and north of the Riverside Freeway.
