Police are seeking a suspect in the stabbing death of a 55-year-old man outside a Mid-City cafe, police said Wednesday.
Floyd Jerry Hunter was attacked about 10:30 p.m. Monday near the Club Fais Do-Do Cafe in the 5200 block of West Adams Boulevard, said Los Angeles police Det. Rudy Lemos of the South Bureau homicide department.
Hunter was having an argument with a woman outside the restaurant when she stabbed him with what appeared to be a kitchen knife, Lemos said.
Hunter, a resident of the Crenshaw area, died of his wounds at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
The suspect is believed to be in her 40s. Investigators are unsure of a motive for the crime other than the dispute, Lemos said, but they are following leads provided by witnesses.
Anyone with information about the crime should call South Bureau detectives at (213) 237-1310.
