Minor-League Team Retires List’s Number

The New Haven Ravens, the Colorado Rockies’ double-A affiliate, have retired the number of former North Hollywood High outfielder Lou List.
List, who played in high school as Paul List, died in January of Hodgkin’s disease.
List, who briefly played for the Rockies as a replacement player during the 1994 strike, wore No. 7 for the Ravens during the 1994 and ’95 seasons.
FOOTBALL
Devin Montgomery’s open-enrollment transfer from San Fernando to Alemany was approved by the Southern Section on Thursday, Commissioner Dean Crowley said.
Montgomery, an All-City basketball player last season, provided evidence that he applied for a transfer to Alemany on May 15, the application deadline for all inter-district open enrollment Southern Section transfers.
