Charter Panel to Hold Open House Tonight
The Appointed Los Angeles Charter Reform Commission will hold its first of seven neighborhood open houses tonight.
Residents will have a chance to respond to the commission’s recommendations through interactive display boards, view a slide presentation as well as offer their opinions and suggestions during a public comment session.
“This is not your typical hearing,” said Chairman George David Kieffer. “We are trying to provide residents with as many avenues as possible to tell us what they think. We need the public’s input before we take our final recommendations to the City Council.”
Tonight’s meeting will be from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Northridge Recreation Center, 18300 Lemarsh St., Northridge.
