2 Men Arrested in Theft of Auto Stereo
Two men were arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of stealing a stereo from a truck parked at an east Ventura apartment complex that police call a hotbed for vehicle burglaries
James Lee Penner, 21, of Port Hueneme, and Todd Daniel Teal, 20, of Ventura, remained in custody Tuesday night on suspicion of auto burglary. Penner’s bail was set at $20,000 and Teal’s was $10,000.
The two men were arrested about 1 a.m. while walking away from the Ventura Pines Apartments at 1241 S. Petit Ave., Ventura Police Sgt. Bob Anderson said. Officers recovered a stereo that had been stolen from a tenant.
