Safety to Be Theme of Fire Station Event

Fountain Valley’s Fire Station 1 will hold an open house Oct. 10 to show residents equipment and provide fire safety tips.
Fire Chief Bernard F. Heimos will host the event. Children will receive free fire helmets and balloons. The theme is “Fire Drills: The Great Escape,” part of Fire Prevention Week.
The open house is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 17737 Bushard St., across from Fountain Valley High School.
