$10,000 Reward Offered in Case of Serial Rapist

Share

A group of Belmont Shore businessmen has put up a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a serial rapist who police believe has attacked women in the area seven times in the last 16 months.

Police believe that the man, who sometimes arrives and leaves his victims’ homes naked, has committed a series of assaults and robberies in Belmont Shore and Naples. He last struck Sept. 18, police said, when he attacked a 52-year-old woman in her home after entering through an unlocked door.

The suspect is described as olive-skinned, in his early 30s, about 5 feet 10, with light brown hair and light brown or hazel eyes. He has a muscular build and sometimes wears a black knit cap.
