The City Council this week approved a raise for City Manager Bill Huston that will increase his salary 4.8%--or $6,972--to $146,000, retroactive to Jan. 1. In April 1998, the council granted Huston a 3.7% raise--or $5,000--to amend his Nov. 1, 1996, contract, which set his salary at $134,028. Huston’s original 1993 contract paid him $128,568 each year for three years.
By comparison, Irvine City Manager Paul Brady earns $147,359 annually.
