The City Council tonight will consider endorsing a 55-foot-high microwave tower at the Moorhead Reservoir to assist with the county’s 800 Megahertz frequency band for police communication. The county has proposed a 110-foot tower, but city staff contends that the lower tower would do the same job but cause less blight. Additionally, the city proposal includes an 18-foot antenna on top of the tower. The council meets at 6 p.m. at 505 Forest Ave.
