The Planning Commission this week approved a new 11,426-square-foot facility for Afterschool Team Activity Club Inc., a private day care business. The club plans to build on about 2.5 acres of open land in the Crown Commerce Center, at Marguerite Parkway and Hillcrest. The new building will more than double the club’s existing space and will include an outdoor hockey court, football field and a running track. An estimated 225 children will come through the facility each day, primarily in the early morning hours before school and from 2 to 6:30 p.m., according to staff reports.
