CYPRESS
The City Council last week approved waivers allowing two groups to celebrate the millennium until 1 a.m. New Year’s Day at the Cypress Senior Center and the Cypress Community Center. City policy normally allows groups to hold parties in those two facilities until only 11 p.m. The Friends of Cypress Recreation and Parks Inc. will party in the community center and the Cypress Pops Orchestra will hold its bash in the senior center.
