‘Going Wild’ at Monterey Bay; Duchovny Directs ‘X-Files’

This weekend, Chuck Norris returns from hiatus, David Duchovny goes behind the camera and “Masterpiece Theatre” presents a swashbuckling romance.

The Disney Channel’s nature series, “Going Wild With Jeff Corwin,” tonight at 8:30, observes Earth Day with a visit to Monterey Bay.

CBS’ “Walker, Texas Ranger” returns to the network’s Saturday lineup at 10 p.m.

“The E! True Hollywood Story” looks at the life of controversial comic Lenny Bruce, Sunday at 8 p.m. on E! Entertainment Television.

Series star David Duchovny wrote and directed Sunday’s “The X-Files,” at 9 p.m. on Fox. The episode deals with an old case surrounding a Negro League baseball player with an incredibly high batting average.

Tara Fitzgerald and Anthony Delon, son of French actor Alain Delon, star in the “Masterpiece Theatre” adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s romantic adventure “Frenchman’s Creek,” Sunday at 9 p.m. on KCET-TV. Fitzgerald plays a bored gentlewoman who flees turmoil in London for her Cornwall estate. Delon plays a dashing French pirate hiding out on the Cornish coast.

Claire Bloom performs her one-woman show, “Shakespeare’s Women,” tonight at 5 and 8 on Bravo.

“Bravo Profiles” examines the career of Franco Zeffirelli, who directed such acclaimed Shakespeare films as “The Taming of the Shrew” and “Romeo and Juliet,” tonight at 7 and 10 on Bravo.

UPN introduces British teen singer Billie on “Billie Wants You!,” Friday at 9 p.m.

Crystal Gayle and Chet Atkins are among the performers on TNN’s “Country’s Family Reunion: Celebration,” Saturday at 10 p.m.

The Discovery Channel once again visits the Titanic on the new two-hour special “Titanic: Answers From the Abyss,” Sunday at 8 p.m.
