Ice Dogs Advance With 2-1 Victory

Manny Legace returned from a concussion to make 30 saves and lead the Long Beach Ice Dogs past the Kansas City Blades, 2-1, on Sunday before 2,514 at the Long Beach Sports Arena and into the second round of the Turner Cup playoffs.
Jaroslav Modry scored both goals as the Ice Dogs won the series, 2-1. They will play the Aeros in Houston on Wednesday at 5:30 in Game 1 of the next series.
The goals were the first of the playoffs for Modry.
