EVENT OF THE WEEK

* Scholastic Hoops Jam all-star games, Saturday, Los Angeles Southwest College--Top boys’ and girls’ basketball players from the City Section--including James Wright of Manual Arts and Leilani Estavan of Palisades--will play Southern Section counterparts in games for senior girls (4 p.m.), boys’ underclassmen (5:30 p.m.) and senior boys (7 p.m.).
