The City Council last week made permanent the changes that were installed in early 1998 as a test at Jamboree Road and Bison Avenue. The intersection was site of numerous accidents and one fatality in 1996.

“There was far too much traffic, and usually someone has to get killed or a terrible accident must occur before something is done,” resident Bill Kirwan said. Tracy Lynn Wolonsky, who had campaigned for changes at the intersection, was killed when a driver on Jamboree ran a red light and struck her car.
