Borders Books, Music and Cafe will open a store in the west wing of South Coast Plaza this fall next to the future Crate and Barrel Home store, mall officials said.
The 26,065-square-foot, two-level store will feature cafe dining on an outdoor patio and more than 30 complimentary community events per month.
The new Borders store is expected to complement the growing collection of home and lifestyle retailers at the former Crystal Court, which also includes a new Macy’s Home store, said Debra Gunn Downing, executive director of marketing at the mall.
