How many producers does it take to make five motion pictures? Forty-seven: 10 for “Runaway Bride,” 10 for “Inspector Gadget,” 10 for “Arlington Road,” 9 for “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me” and 8 for “The Wild Wild West.”

Producers Guild President Thom Mount claims that his organization has a long-standing committee that is charged with stopping the proliferation of producer credits (Whatever., July 4). How many producers on this committee? Based on its accomplishments, probably 250.
