Residents are encouraged to take advantage of two free hikes in Limestone Canyon on Saturday led by guides from the Nature Conservancy.
The guides will lead hikers through a private wilderness preserve otherwise inaccessible to visitors.
Only hikers with reservations will be given directions to the reserve.
The first hike leaves at 7 a.m. and is 8 miles. Outreach coordinator Debra Clarke said she expects the trip to last about five hours. The second hike is a two-hour, nine-mile hike and leaves at 9 a.m.
There is space for 20 people on each hike. Reservations or more information: (714) 832-7478.
