The Society of Motion Picture & Television Art Directors is presenting a screening of George Cukor’s 1969 wide-screen film “Justine.” The film, which stars Anouk Aimee, Dirk Bogarde, Robert Forster and Anna Karina, is based on Lawrence Durrell’s “Alexandria Quartet.” A question-and-answer discussion with production designer William J. Creber will follow the screening.

If you’ve been watching a lot of “The Antiques Road Show” and are dying to dig around in some old stuff, the charming little town of Julian is the place to go on Sunday. Dealers from around Southern California will gather in this Gold Rush-era town hall for the Julian Back Country Antique Faire, which will also have live music, a barbecue and beer garden.

8 pm: Jazz

Four of the most recognizable artists from the world of jazz vocals--lyricist Oscar Brown Jr., Manhattan Transfer member Janis Siegel, veteran hipster Mark Murphy and retro-beatnik Kurt Elling--gather with pianists Billy Childs and Alan Broadbent in “The Jazz Singers: From Pre-Bop Thru Be-Bop.” The state-of-singing summit is a gala fund-raiser for the nonprofit Jazz Bakery performance space.

7:30 pm: World Music

Somber and celebratory, modern and nostalgic, Gypsy music cuts a wide swath and is as various as its different geographical points of origin. This program features the colorful Musafir musicians and dancers from Rajasthan, the pulsing music of Czech vocalist Vera Bila and the Spanish dance and song company Alma de Flamenco. A unifying theme? Passion!

2 pm: Museum

The Southwest Museum hosts a fandango Sunday celebrating the completion of the first phase of restoration of the Casa de Adobe rancho, located directly below the museum’s Mt. Washington facility. Emulating the customs of the 19th-century Spanish and Mexican settlers who originated the outdoor party known as a fandango, the afternoon will include refreshments, performances by Los Californios, a musical group dedicated to performing authentic early California music, and Yesteryears Dancers, a 30-member troupe that performs early California-style dancing.
