Her View of Tennis Is Quite Unpopular

When I paid $245 for a two-seat, weekend package at the Acura Classic, I didn’t expect to have courtside seats. But I did expect to see the court. And both players at the same time. However, I, along with hundreds of other fans at the Manhattan Country Club found that we could not view the entire court from our seats.

When several people went to the ticket office to complain that this was unacceptable, we were told the stands were constructed differently this year to accommodate more VIP box seats. In fact, the tournament officials arrogantly offered no apologies about it. The tournament was sold out. No exchanges. No refunds. Never mind that the photo in their ticket brochure clearly misrepresents the layout. Acura and the tournament office should be ashamed and accountable for this fraudulent scam.
