Airport Expansion

Re expanding Los Angeles International Airport: I don’t believe that I have read about a fairly obvious solution: Keep and upgrade LAX for passenger travel and use the outlying airports for cargo.

Admittedly it will be farther to get cargo into L.A., but new facilities and good highway connections may be less expensive and less obtrusive than the present plans.

Los Angeles will never be a world-class city without building good public transportation into LAX. The Thanksgiving and holiday parking jams are a direct reflection on the poor decisions of past leaders. Let’s ask L.A.’s inner circle (Nov. 28) to give this their highest civic priority.
