2 Armed Gunmen Rob Elderly Couple
Police are searching for two masked gunmen who broke into a house Monday night in the 16000 block of Knollwood Drive and stole cash from an elderly couple.
“There was a knock on the door at about 10 p.m. and when one of [the residents] answered it, two suspects with semiautomatic weapons made their way in and forced the couple to the ground,” said Officer Charles Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
No one was injured, Rodriguez said, and the robbers got away with about $150.
Because the gunmen wore masks, long-sleeved hooded sweatshirts and gloves, the victims--believed to be in their 70s--could only identify their voices, Rodriguez said.
“We have very little to go on, but the victims said the suspects sounded young, like mid- to late-teens,” Rodriguez said.
