I live in former Rep. Jay Kim’s district, and I can assure him he did not lose because he did not campaign. He lost because he was a crook, and the people of the 41st District knew that he was a corrupt politician. I am glad that he “fulfilled his campaign promises” to us; too bad he didn’t promise to be honest. His comment that he did not know if his committee paid the $170,000 fine shows how sincere his concern really is.

Life is not “a mystery,” Mr. Kim, it is full of realities. The reality for all politicians is that whether they’re Republican or Democrat all public officials must take responsibility for their actions and suffer the consequences.

We need men and women of honor and integrity to be our leaders, attributes that Kim lacks. He should not be allowed to use the 42nd District for his gain or any other in the future.
