Boat parades in Newport Beach, “A Christmas Carol” and “La Posada Magica” at South Coast Repertory, the Glory of Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral and finding a parking place at South Coast Plaza are but a few of the holiday traditions Orange County can call its own.
Whether you are looking for on offbeat event or a tried-and-true one, this section can help guide you through the rest of 1999--and even into 2000.
We have full listings inside, but here’s a taste of what’s out there in the next 12 days:
* The Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parades continue nightly through Thursday with viewing from numerous points throughout the harbor area. More than 150 boats festooned with colored lights and other decorations will sail through the harbor on a course beginning and ending at Collins Island.
