THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* West Apollo Street: Obscene phone calls were reported at 5:28 p.m. Tuesday.

* Brea Mall: A grand theft was reported at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday.

* Brea Mall: Petty thefts were reported at 4:33 p.m. and 8:37 p.m. Tuesday.

* East Imperial Highway: A burglary was reported in the 600 block at 11:26 p.m. Tuesday.

FULLERTON

* Camino del Sol: A grant theft was reported in the 2600 block at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

* South Harbor Boulevard: A robbery was reported in the 1400 block at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday.

* Lambert Drive: A burglary was reported in the 400 block at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Laguna Hills Mall: A 1984 Cadillac was stolen at 6:40 p.m. Saturday. The thief drove it into a moving 1996 Windstar and then ran away. He was seen running across Paseo de Valencia and El Toro Road toward Laguna Woods. The Cadillac was recovered, and the passengers of the Windstar van had only minor injuries. The man has not been caught.

* Moulton Parkway and Granite: During a Sheriff’s Department checkpoint on Friday, one person was arrested for driving under the influence and carrying marijuana at 8:30 p.m. A 15-year-old was taken into custody for driving without a license at 11 p.m. The juvenile was later released to parents.

LA HABRA

* South Sturbridge Drive: An alarm went off in the 700 block at 7:52 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Lambert Road: A prowler was reported in the 1000 block at 10:32 p.m. Tuesday.

LA PALMA

* Dallas Drive: Holiday decorations were reported stolen in the 7400 block between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. Monday.

* Orangethorpe Avenue: Propane tanks were reported stolen in the 5000 block at 3:49 p.m. Monday.

PLACENTIA

* East Chapman Avenue: Medical aid was given in the 200 block at 6:09 a.m. Tuesday.

* East Chapman Avenue: A vehicle was recovered in the 400 block at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday.

* West Santa Fe Avenue: A petty theft was reported at 8:16 a.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Plaza Drive: A car was reported vandalized in the 14000 block at 1:44 p.m. Sunday.

* Newport Avenue: A car was reported stolen in the 13000 block at 8:39 p.m. Sunday.

YORBA LINDA

* Bastanchury Road: A grand theft was reported in the 16000 block at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports Wednesday: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Los Alamitos, Mission Viejo, Newport Beach, Orange, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, Stanton, Villa Park and Westminster.
