Gospel Quartet Will Sing in Yorba Linda

A gospel quartet will headline a New Year’s celebration Friday night at United Methodist Church in Yorba Linda.

The Watchmen, whose credits include performances with Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, will sing beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the church, 19002 Yorba Linda Blvd.

The concert will be followed by a communion service at 9:30 p.m. and a New Year’s party from 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday. All events are free, and child care is provided with reservations. Information: (714) 777-2885.

* Temple Beth Emet will celebrate a “Sabbath in Two Centuries” at 8:45 p.m. Friday and 8:45 a.m. next Saturday. The New Year’s Eve activities will include dinner ($25 per person).
