Pacific 64, Pepperdine 58--Mike Preston scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, powering the Tigers (4-6) past the Waves (8-5) before 3,044 at Stockton.
Preston scored nine of his points in the final six minutes as the Tigers overcame an early nine-point deficit.
Pepperdine, outrebounded 43-34, was led by Tezale Archie’s 14 points and seven assists.
San Diego State 70, Loyola Marymount 63--Myron Epps scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to help the Aztecs (4-6) extend the Lions’ losing streak to nine games before 2,052 at San Diego.
The Aztecs, playing under first-year Coach Steve Fisher, equaled their victory total from last season when they finished 4-22, their second-lowest win total in school history.
Loyola Marymount (1-9) hasn’t won since its season opener. The Lions also lost their 11th consecutive road game.
Pablo Machado finished with 20 points, 13 in the second half, for Loyola.
