Aliso Beach was closed this week due to a 3,000-gallon sewage spill, caused by a paint can lodged in sewer system pipes, officials said. The Orange County Health Care Agency’s Environmental Health Division closed the beach for a quarter-mile on either side of the creek mouth for an indefinite period, spokesman Larry Honeybourne said. Honeybourne said the agency should have preliminary results on the area’s water quality today.
