MISSION VIEJO
The City Council wants to rename all or part of Olympiad Park after the late Florence Griffith Joyner. Known to most as “Flo-Jo,” the Olympic medal winner and Mission Viejo resident died of a heart ailment in September. In March, the city’s Community Services Commission will consider the details in renaming the 11-acre park, scheduled to be built later this year. Information: (949) 470-3061.
