Fortensky’s Condition Gets Upgrade to Serious, Stable

Larry Fortensky, who was critically injured in a fall last week at his San Juan Capistrano home, was upgraded Friday to serious but stable condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Fortensky, 46, an ex-husband of actress Elizabeth Taylor, remains at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo. No other information was released.
Fortensky fell down a flight of stairs early Jan. 28.
A woman who called 911 to report the accident said he had been drinking heavily before he fell.
Taylor met Fortensky while they both were at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage for substance abuse treatment.
They were married in 1991 at pop star Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch.
The marriage ended five years later when Taylor filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
