A pair of apparently unrelated shootings in Garden Grove and Stanton late Saturday left at least two men wounded, one shot while driving and the other shot in the head in an apparent pool-room dispute.

In Garden Grove, a man in his early 20s driving a black Acura was shot in the stomach while driving westbound on Hazard Avenue just after 8 p.m.

The bullet that wounded him apparently had been fired through the door of his car by somebody driving a burgundy Acura, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Robert Fowler said.

The injured man was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where hospital officials could not be reached to report on his condition.

In the second shooting, a man fired at least one blast from a shotgun at a pool room near Beach Boulevard and Lampson Avenue in Stanton about 9:30 p.m., said Lt. Colin Murphy of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

A 19-year-old man suffered a grazing injury to the head, Murphy said.

The assailant fled and was being sought by deputies and police officers late Saturday.
