Trebil Takes Crowley’s Place
The Ducks recalled defenseman Dan Trebil from Cincinnati of the American Hockey League on Friday, sending Mike Crowley in the opposite direction.
Trebil joined the team Friday morning, but did not play in the Ducks’ 7-2 victory over the Buffalo Sabres. He has two goals and 10 assists in 30 games in the minors this season.
Crowley wasn’t playing much for the Ducks, but Coach Craig Hartsburg expects the rookie defenseman to play as many as 30 minutes a game for Cincinnati.
Crowley had been scratched in seven of the last eight games before Friday. He had two goals and three assists in 20 games.
