Cliff Ronning had two assists and Tomas Vokoun made 28 saves Monday as the Nashville Predators snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Mighty Ducks.

Vokoun, a rookie playing for the injured Mike Dunham, stopped all 20 Duck shots in the second and third periods.

Anaheim scored just one goal for the fourth time in the last six games. Nashville killed off three straight third-period penalties, including a two-man advantage that lasted 1:01. During the five-on-three, the Ducks only managed a soft shot on net by Marty McInnis.

Jamie Heward’s power-play goal at 19:37 of the first period gave the Predators a 2-1 lead. His third goal of the season came on a wrist shot from the right circle, after Ronning faked a shot from the left side, then passed to Heward.
