Curry Paces Northridge Over Sacramento, 75-52
The hot shooting and playmaking of Edniesha Curry carried Cal State Northridge to a 75-52 victory over Cal State Sacramento in a Big Sky Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Memorial Auditorium.
Curry, a sophomore guard, had game-high totals of 23 points and five assists. She made nine of 11 shots, including her only three-point attempt, and all four of her free throws.
Center Keisha Harris and guard Tina Greer each added 10 points for Northridge (12-5, 6-1 in conference play), which extended a 36-28 halftime lead.
The Matadors limited Sacramento (2-13, 0-5) to 11-of-31 shooting in the second half (35.5%), when it outscored the Hornets, 39-24.
Northridge had 17 steals, led by reserves LaShaunda Fowler and Natalia Jonas with three each. Sacramento finished with 26 turnovers.
Forward Kerri Dunn had 14 points for Sacramento.
