Grant to Implement CLU Multimedia Major

* Cal Lutheran University received a $250,000 grant from the James Irvine Foundation to develop and implement the second phase of the university’s multimedia major.

The money will be used to “further enhance the program by developing a peer mentoring program, further cultivate industry and educational alliances to recruit quality students,” and other purposes.

Oak Park Qualifies for Cheerleading Contest

* The Oak Park High School Cheer Squad qualified for the National High School Cheerleading Championships Feb. 4-8 in Orlando, Fla.

The team consists of two seniors, four juniors, seven sophomores and five freshmen. This will be the first time a team representing Oak Park High School will compete in the tournament.
