O.C. Coastal Coalition Sought
Orange County Supervisor Tom Wilson will ask the county’s six coastal cities at a Dana Point workshop today to form the first Orange County Coastal Coalition.
The coalition, like those formed from San Diego to Ventura, would help raise money and support for critical projects such as beach erosion and sand replenishment along the county’s 42-mile coastline.
Wilson said he will ask representatives from each of the cities and from state parks to go back to their city councils and top officials to get authorization to join.
The meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the Dana Point Harbor Youth and Group Facility in Dana Point Harbor.
