Notes

The Falcons’ final workout was decidedly informal: Players basically wore street clothes for half the session and were allowed to bring family members with them to Pro Player Stadium.

“We just touched on some last-minute details,” Reeves said. “You just can’t get everything covered. So usually on Saturday we try to cover some things we might not have hit during the week against certain defenses or certain formations.”

Reeves had some players wear cleated shoes to test the grass, and said the surface was fine. “It seemed to hold up real well,” he said. “The field is in great shape, but what you don’t know is when they’re going full speed and start cutting and so forth, what it will look like.”

Defensive end Lester Archambeau and tight end-fullback Brian Kozlowski, who had been listed as questionable earlier in the week because of ankle injuries, practiced the last three days and will start. Wide receiver-kick returner Tim Dwight has recovered from a stomach virus and is nearly at full strength.
