BREA
As the first step in a 10-year street improvement project, the city is putting up a 10- to 12-foot sound barrier from Associated Road to Brea Union Plaza, City Engineer Phil Wray said. The $950,000 project is being funded by the county’s Smart Street grant. Construction crews will be knocking down existing walls, most of which are about 5 to 6 feet high, during the next few weeks. The project is expected to be finished in three months.
