LAGUNA HILLS
Residents of North Laguna Hills can now enjoy a park they helped develop. Veeh Ranch Park, on Santa Vittoria Drive south of Lake Forest Drive, is in an area annexed by the city three years ago. Public Works Director Ken Rosenfield said the park is the result of the city’s policy of encouraging neighborhood involvement in park design. “There were many meetings between city residents and the Parks and Recreation Commission,” he said.
The nine-acre site has a playground complete with a climbing structure and swings, a full-size basketball court, a sundial, a “watch me grow” panel for children to see how tall they are, picnic tables and security lighting. The $370,000 project was begun in February.
