Lancaster Falls Short, 5-4

Jermaine Clark’s two-run single with two out in the ninth inning was not enough for the JetHawks in a 5-4 loss at San Bernardino on Tuesday night.

Peanut Williams’ third-inning home run tied the score, 2-2, for the JetHawks (27-56, 4-9 in the second half), but Greg Wooten (2-2) allowed three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Outfielder Jacob Cruz (Channel Islands High) was recalled by the Cleveland Indians from triple-A Buffalo after getting two hits and driving in a run in a 6-4 victory over Ottawa.
