From Times Wire Reports

A truck driver involved in an Amtrak accident that injured nearly two dozen people ran a stop sign before he was hit, investigators said. The Sunset Limited was headed from Los Angeles to Orlando, Fla., on Thursday when it slammed into the truck in Eagle Lake, Texas, about 60 miles west of Houston. Ten of the train’s 13 cars were derailed, and 20 of the 235 passengers and an engineer were injured. Most were treated for bumps and bruises. Four people who remained in a hospital overnight had been released. Truck driver David Bubela, 21, will be charged with failure to stop for an approaching train.
