El Paso Chile Co. Triple Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce is a great-tasting, slightly sweet barbecue sauce with a smoky bite. Company owner Park Kerr says he developed the recipe in his backyard from one of his mother’s recipes. The raspberries are combined with raspberry orange marmalade, raspberry puree, balsamic vinegar and Framboise. Kerr suggests marinating a pork tenderloin in the sauce, then grilling it--brushing it with the sauce as it grills (the outside of the tenderloin will get crisp and black around the edges). The sauce is also good with chicken, duck and quail, he says.

Triple Raspberry Chipotle BBQ Sauce, $6.50 for 12-ounce jar at Williams-Sonoma stores or order directly from El Paso Chile Co. on the Internet at https://www.elpasochile.com.

Lovely Mugs

These beautiful hand-painted mugs from local artist Sandy Kreyer make that morning cup of coffee or tea special. The handles have a good feel, and the mugs are just the right size--not too large for coffee to cool and not too small so you can’t enjoy a good cup. Each cup’s design is unique.
