The Villa Park Chat Group will discuss the works of writer Belva Plain at its Aug. 17 meeting. Among the best-selling author’s works are “Secrecy,” “Tapestry” and “Evergreen,” the story of a Jewish girl from Poland who comes to America at the turn of the century and rises from a household maid to a wealthy matriarch.
