Police Seek Information on Missing 80-Year-Old Man

Share

The Police Department on Tuesday made another public appeal for help in locating Alexander Betaivaz, an 80-year-old Glendale man missing since May 19.

On that day, Betaivaz called daughter Violet Badali to say he had gotten lost coming home from a doctor’s appointment in North Hollywood. Betaivaz told Badali he believed he was in Palmdale.

A waitress in a Palmdale restaurant told police she remembered serving Betaivaz, who was alone, said Glendale Police Sgt. Rick Young. No one else has reported seeing him, and his ATM card has not been used since his disappearance, Young said.

Betaivaz is described as Middle Eastern, 5 feet 5, 155 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was driving a dark-blue 1989 Toyota Corolla, license plate 3BQK347.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-4840.
