SEAL BEACH
The overhead utility lines along Seal Beach Boulevard from the police station to Electric Avenue will be buried underground at Southern California Edison’s expense, under a state-mandated program. The project is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2000. The California Public Utilities Commission requires Edison to bury the lines in cases where it eliminates an unusually heavy concentration of overhead lines, the street carries high volumes of car or pedestrian traffic, or the lines pass through an area of unusual scenic interest.
