Dead Sea Scrolls

Michael Phelps, a Claremont School of Theology professor, will lecture on the Dead Sea Scrolls at a luncheon meeting Wednesday of the Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council.
The event begins at 11:45 a.m. with a reception at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 183 E. Bay St. in Costa Mesa. Lunch is at noon. The cost is $5 per person; reservations are required. Call (949) 660-8665, Ext. 3, by Tuesday.
